We were invited out for a Snazaroo Dreamland day – To be more specific we were invited out to Dreamland Margate with Snazaroo. It was a great day out with the littles. I’ve not been to Margate before in my life but I’m going to make it a mission to visit many more seaside locations with the kids just to get away from the major hustle and bustle of the City. I would like to visit Margate in the height summer. The locals were telling me its really something special
“The UK’s best-loved seaside amusement park unveiled a completely updated and re-landscaped space that brings together historic rides set against a backdrop of interactive art installations, adventurous street food and an eclectic programme of live events – making it the ultimate day out for all ages.”
I’ll have to admit the morning didn’t go as planned, I didn’t plan for road works to get to St Pancreas to get the train to Margate so we missed our first train but we didn’t have to wait long for the next one. If you’re a family you’ll most likely want a four seater with a table so get to your train with plenty of time to spear as they are very popular.
It’ s not a very long journey in total about 90 mins so take some snacks and a few things for the kids to do. The trains have toilets and there are lots of animals to spot on your journey.
Dreamland was a very short distant in walking from the station literally 2/3mins.
The fresh air was lovely and the weather was warm we were so lucky to have the sun shining on us for the whole day.
We got straight into the event sprite and Hayden got his face painted like a Snazaroo Dog, How cool does he look? The Snazaroo makeup artist did an amazing job. There were so many designs to choose from – I have to try my hand at this too. was so tempted to to get mine done too but I know the boys were anxious to get on the rides.
Designed to deliver an unforgettable day out for all ages, Dreamland will provide fun for all the family including the all new Teddy and Betty Land, where the park’s mascots take on a starring role with stage shows and brand new rides. A retro Roller Disco and vintage arcades also offer a mix of nostalgic-tinted present-day pleasures.
Dreamland operates on a season basis. During peak time (Summer) its open Monday – Sunday but off season its only open at the weekend 11am – 6pm.
Dreamland wristbands start from £9.50
After the rides we were feeling peckish so we decided to sample to foods from the vendors.
While the rides hail back to Dreamland’s early days, the food is altogether more contemporary, with vendors inspired by London’s booming street food culture, offering a changeable feast of cuisine ranging from wood fired pizza to Mexican tacos. On the seafront, the original 1930s Cinque Ports pub is being brought back to life; once a favourite haunt of mods and rockers in the 1960s, it will offer modern pub fare with a front row view of Margate seaside.
We feasted on BBQ Chicken (So lush), Chips, Chinese, Slush & Candy Floss (Best candy floss Ive ever had – Bubblegum flavour)
I adore that the candy floss vender was allergy friendly.
By the end of the day we were shattered. We had one more ride before we went home and that was to view the whole theme park
We had such an amazing time in Margate with Snazaroo! We even got some face paint goodies from Snazaroo to take home – Can’t wait to show you my skills. We have halloween coming up & we love using Snazaroo face paints to get into full character so keep your eyes peeled.
Here’s what we were given:
Thank you for having us Dreamland and Snazaroo.
If you fancy attending Dreamland their next major event is for Halloween: Screamland … Eeeek!
