An Inexpensive Day Out At The O2

Who remembers the millennium dome?
Well incase you didn’t know – It’s now called The O2 and we spend the day there at the beginning of the month.
We got to experience all the free activities that The O2 had to offer, stopped off to have some lunch and catch the latest movie at their indoor cinema.

It’s crazy the amount of events that they have to offer.
Come and see what we got up to.

First stop Sky Studios
There was so much to do inside this venue including virtual bike riding, testing out your football skills, becoming a news reader – How many people have wanted to do that?
And becoming a leading premiership football star, check out the little video below of Hayden (So cute)

It’s free and open daily; Event days 12pm to 8pm, non-event days 12pm to 6pm and from 11am on weekends.

REMEMBER YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

Day 9 Day 10 Day 11

After all the excitement of The Sky Studios we stopped off for a spot of lunch at Ask Italian where Hayden had a Gluten Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free Penne Alla Bolognese – Penne in their classic Bolognese sauce and I had their Stromboli Pizza – Pepperoni on a tomato and mozzarella base. They’ll add chillies if you like it hot.
Couldn’t fault the service and the food tasted amazing!

Day 15 Day 12Day 13 Day 14
Shortly after lunch we were back on the hunt for adventure and our next stop was The Nissan Innovation Station where we got to experience some Nissan goodness including testing out the 100% electric gold Nissan LEAF, Nissan Qushqai, playing racing games, designing our own car and taking photos with the stars.

This experience is also free and open daily 12pm – 8pm

Day 17 Day 16BOLT Nissan - The O2 Nissan Car - The O2

To end of the day we went to watch Finding Dori at their lovely Cineworld Cinema in the centre of The O2.
It was a LONG but fun and inexpensive day out for the family at The 02 by the time the movie had finished Hayden was ready for bed… and to be honest so was I.

Thank you for such a great day out The O2. We’ll be back again soon!

Disclosure: We were invited out for the purpose of this event by The O2 – The trip to The O2 including lunch and cinema visit was courtesy of them.
