Hey you beautiful people,
Recently we ventured out to London Zoo with Greggs to explore the wonders of the worlds oldest scientific zoo and sample the tasty new goodies Greggs New Balance Choice Range and New Kids Range too.
Before sampling the new lunches at our zoo themed picnic we got to venture around the wildlife park and see all the amazing animals.
We started off at the aquarium and reptile centre.
Then ventured off to the bigger beasts.
Who doesn’t love the bigger beasts? – Gorilla’s, Lions, Giraffe’s you name it.
We event spotted some donkeys – Hayden is slightly obsessed with them since riding donkey’s on the London Southbank the week before.
Shortly after seeing all of these beautiful creatures it was lunch time.
Unfortunately Greggs do not provide any gluten or dairy free product ranges for their kids meals so I packed Hayden his own goodies (Not that he ate it, he was too busy having fun with the other kids)
Greggs New Kids Range
Greggs’ new kids range offers simple and delicious sandwiches, which are less than 300 calories and use a milk roll recipe providing a source of calcium, and drinks with added vitamins, which are free from added sugar, artificial colours and flavours. The range includes a cheese sandwich, ham sandwich, apple and blackcurrant juice drink and orange juice drink, and 5p from the sale of every item will go to support its UK breakfast clubs.
Malcolm Copland, commercial director at Greggs, said: “A kids range has been in the pipeline for a while now, as we saw a gap in our offer for families visiting us on the go with younger children. We wanted to make sure we got it right and offer something that would be fresh and tasty whilst on the go. We therefore put our new range to the test with a panel we could guarantee would give us their honest opinions – and we’re delighted that they’ve given it their seal of approval.”
Greggs New Balanced Choice Range
Greggs newly extended range of delicious, lighter products. All are under 400 calories and the range includes a delicious combination of flatbreads, oval bites, salads, soups, yoghurts and fruit pots. All products meet amber and green on the FSA traffic light system for fat, saturated fat, salt and sugar.
I really enjoyed sampling all these yummy goodies and the kids looked like they had a blast too.
It was nice to see simple plain rolls/sandwiches for kids for some reason they are hard to find – give me a plain ham roll any day.
We even picked up a few cheeky goodies from the zoo store, I couldn’t resist
Disclosure: We were invited out for the purpose of this event by Greggs – The trip to the London Zoo was courtesy of them.
