We were invited to stay at the Amber Hotel London in Marble Arch to spend a complimentary night in one of their rooms of the newly launched Multi million pound refurbished hotel. It was really easy to find the hotel as it was just off Oxford Street just past Top Shop on the corner of Next, tucked away down a little side street. There is parking nearby but it’s not owned by the hotel and will cost you an extra £4o overnight stay. The nearest tube station is Marble Arch Underground & any bus going along Oxford Street.
We were greeted by one of their lovely receptionist staff (extremely friendly) who checked us in quick and easily and even showed us up to our room and gave us a little tour of our room too.
We were really impressed with our Deluxe King Room. It was extremely spacious and we felt comfortable as soon as we entered the room. The bathroom and room were spotless with lots of gadget and plugs sockets with USB port great for techno geeks.

We spent the evening doing a bit of shopping on Oxford Street – Its beautiful shopping in Central London in the evening & lovely to be able to not have to jump back on the tube after a LONG day or evening of shopping was pure bliss. It puts your mind at ease knowing you’re only a stone throw away from resting your head on a comfy hotel pillow. Dinner was spent in the hotel we wanted to test out the in-room iPad for their room service. I opted for a beef burger & Mr B opted for a Chicken Burger via the in-room iPad. Mr B loved his burger but I thought mine was very bland. Chips were amazing though and the food was beautifully presented.
When we stayed we planned on hitting the gym for a late night session but it was closed and wasn’t 24 hours (actually opens at 6am) unlike we were told by their social media person on IG and the a few of the staff were not very sure what times the gym actually opened at all as Mr B was sent out in the rain on Saturday morning to an offsite gym which was actually closed and he wasn’t best pleased. After the confusion was sorted out we actually found out that the gym was opened and he had a nice workout.
Our nights sleep had been lush. The beds were so warm and comfy – I didn’t want to get up for breakfast. We had a spot of breakfast in the morning at the hotel. It was delicious – I couldn’t fault it at all. It was a buffet style of hot and cold foods. I highly recommend the pancakes!
Checkout was at 12pm and was really simple. We simply handed in our card at reception and went on our way. The hotel seems to be very popular already as they had a lot of people staying there (pretty busy) and even had 2 wedding functions.
Overall our experience at The Amba Hotel was VERY pleasant with only a minor hiccup which didn’t bother us too much.
Until Next Time… Charlotte x
