It’s always so magical at Christmas time especially if you live in London or come and visit London. Here are some of my favourite things to do in London at Christmas for Families. I have experienced a few this year and they are amazing! I’ve put loads of activities on here that don’t end till Jan 2016 so there’s still plenty of time!

Winter at Southbank Centre with NatWest returns for another year focusing on the themes of family and giving to others. The programme is packed with entertainment for all ages, from award-winning performances La Soirée and Slava’s Snowshow, to festive concerts, social dances, choirs, a weekend dedicated to charitable causes and winter festivities including then Winter Market, Rekorderlig Cider Lodge and Bump Rollerdisco.

Little Red Riding Hood

Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary (The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole- The Musical at Leicester Curve) bring a new musical twist to the classic tale. We follow Red as she ventures through the woods on a quest to save her family bakery. However, will Red be distracted by the wolf in the magical forest where nothing is as it seems? Red Riding Hood is a story about bravery, love, friendship and family. Filled with humour and packed with original music, this is a show for all ages.
We went to see this last week and absolutely LOVED IT! Red was brilliant, the songs were very catchy & we all thought the wolf stole the show! Highly recommended

Peppa Pig Live

Surprise! Peppa Pig, George and their friends are back in a brand new live stage show, Peppa Pig’s Surprise. It’s a lovely day and Peppa is playing outside with her friends. Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig have got a surprise for her and George – they can’t guess what it is, can you? Enjoy fun, games and of course, surprises in this charming, colourful new show packed with new songs Peppa Pig’s Surprise promises to be the perfect theatre show for all pre-schoolers!
Hayden has always been a BIG fan of Peppa Pig. I cant express how well they did the live shows – I was impressed & Hayden absolutely had a blast. Word of warning, its very interactive, if you’re sitting near the front be prepared to get wet, have bubbles popped on your head and even snow fall too. Must see!

Get Your Skates on at Frostival

Meet Festive Shrek

It’s back! Billed as the ‘alternative’ festive destination, Winterville is a pop-up town with all the amenities and entertainment you can imagine: pantomime, backyard cinema, ice-rink, christmas market, etc.
We went to Winterville on the opening night & it was flipping fantastic – We’ve never been to a more well organised family event like this in London. Hayden had an epic time (spoke about it days after) – Really looking forward to next year.

Disney Christmas at St Pancras

The world’s biggest Disney Junior soft toy Christmas tree will take pride of place in the centre of St Pancras until 4th January 2016, with snowflakes magically bursting from the top of the tree every four minutes, making it snow inside the station for the very first time. Towering over the concourse at 14 metres high, the magical creation uses 2,000 individual Disney Store soft toys including some of pre-schoolers’ favourites such as Doc McStuffins,Sofia the First and Miles From Tomorrow. All of the toys used to build the tree will then be donated to KIDS, a leading charity which cares for disabled children, young people and their families.
