Garfunkels #LondonLegend Breakfast and Madame Tussauds

We were kindly invited out on a day trip with Garfunkel’s the theme was #LondonLegend. I’ve decided to split the day up into three post which will follow on tomorrow and the day after. First of all I want to say a massive thank you to the Garfunkel (PR) team for being A-MA-ZING we had such brilliant day, loads of delicious food to eat and awesome company. Hayden is still talking about it and about all the friends he made.

Born in 1979, Garfunkel’s is one of London’s most iconic restaurant brands. Best known for its wide and varied menu, friendly service and great central London locations, they have become a legendary part of London life, alas #LondonLegend is born.

Our first stop was breakfast at Garfunkel Kensington SW1 4SF
We actually had a section of the restaurant to ourself which is perfect if you have a large group. The restaurant was inside a little shopping centre right next to the station but it can be missed if your by the station entrance but they have another entrance at the other end of the restaurant.

What we had…

Rovi: Classic Breakfast
Fried or Scrambled egg, grilled bacon, Cumberland sausage, Heinz baked Beans, Flat Mushroom and grilled tomato. Served on toast. Drink Tea
Charlotte: Three pancakes served fresh from the pan, warm and topped with Bacon & Maple flavoured syrup. Drink was coffee
Hayden: A selection of chopped fresh fruit. Drink Orange juice
Garfunkel’s we’re extremely accommodating when it came to Hayden’s allergies and went out of their way to make sure they got everything right with his order while excluding ALL of his allergy triggers)

During breakfast I got to catch up with the lovely Alex from Lamb and Bear and her little cutie Jasper & the gorgeous Donna from The London Mum and adorable Little London. I also finally got to meet Emma from Me the Man and the Kids, someone I’ve followed socially for a long time so it was great to meet her and her beautiful family. Hayden and Emma’s little boy Ollie hit it off straight away – It was adorable! Not too long after that we were whisked off into taxis and take to our first adventure.

First Attraction: Madame Tussauds
This is where I tell you I feel like a complete fraud. Why? you ask… Well I have lived in London my whole life and this was my very first time visiting Madame Tussauds. I feel so embarrassed saying this BUT I highly recommend anyone who lives in London GO! Visit! It’s NOT just for tourists, don’t get me wrong its a GREAT tourist attraction but its not something to be missed because you feel its only for tourist because that simply isn’t the case. My parents haven’t been but as soon as they are back from Barbados next year I am taking them both. I will from now on visit at least once a year, especially as Hayden gets older.
We got to rub shoulders with so many of our favourite stars (almost to the point I got starstruck over Kim and Kanye) – of course Hayden was so confused about why these people looked so real but stood still. It was hilarious, he wouldn’t even stand next to spider man. We got to check out their 4D Marvel Screening … Guys, seriously brilliant. We loved every second of the movie (wish it was longer)

What you’ll find inside… There are several categories to enjoy including (but not limited to) Party, Film (my favourite being a huge movie buff) and even YouTube.

Part two is coming up shortly followed by part 3 BUT if you can’t wait that long… Watch a little vlog of our day. Don’t forget to comment and subscribe if you haven’t already 🙂

I’ve never heard of Garfunkels before, but sounds delicious. Although I have to ask, what is a selection of chopped fresh?! As the rest of the menu choices chosen are breakfast items I’m going for chopped fresh fruit.
    Unless it’s something different? 🙂
