An Open Letter to my 3 Year Old Toddler Son

It feels so good to be able to sit down and write this open letter to my 3 year old toddler son, Master Hayden Pascal Berice.
You’re daddy has just put you down for your nap and I’ve finished watching all the daily vlogs I missed yesterday from taking you to your very first non family birthday party. You had such a great time and you kinda stole the show with all your awesome dance moves. You are such a little superstar!
I’m feeling slightly emotional a blubbering mess typing this, I’m not one to spill all my emotions out to the masses but for you my love, I have no problem its comes so naturally. I could talk about you for hours – I just hope you actually get to read this yourself one day.
You are now 3 years old and without sounding to cliché I seriously feel like It was only yesterday we found out I was pregnant, seeing you for the first time on the first scan, then a second time and finally giving birth at 11:04 on Tuesday 10th April 2012. It was such a magical day and I am so grateful to have you in my life – You brighten up even the darkest days and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Hayden Pascal: A hyper active little boy with such a sweet, beautiful and playful soul. You love nothing more than to spend endless time with mummy and question nearly hourly “where is daddy” until daddy gets home from work or the gym. On most days you become our shadow and makes us laugh endlessly with your dancing and funny little sayings.
Yes baby, mummy get’s tired, sick, stressed, angry and you always ask me if I’m these things – I say no and you reply with “mummy happy” which gets a swift yes followed by a thumbs up by you – But most of the time I am actually tired, sick, stressed or cross but just by seeing your beautiful big eyes and sweet, sweet smile you make me look at things in a different perspective and I just want to let you are my world!
I try my hardest to be the best mummy I can be and in all honesty it is very hard. There are so many things they don’t tell you about when going up and having a raise a little human. Everyday is a new experience for me and for you too – we learn together and I wouldn’t have it any other way. You are my mini me … You love being the centre of attention, ridiculously funny and super cute! I am in awe of your beauty little man.
It has been nothing more than pure bliss to watch you grow over the last three years and I’m so so so grateful to be called your mummy. You are your own little person, such a unique individual and I’m so excited to witness you venture into the next years of your life right by your side, smothering you with hugs and kisses that you truly deserve every single day.
I won’t keep it too long, if you’re anything like me you’d rather this in video form, then having to read it.
I love you my cute, handsome & beautiful little caterpillar.
Thank you for letting me be your mummy.
Note to readers:
I wrote this last month a few weeks after Hayden’s 3rd Birthday.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to publish it as it was so personal but here it is and I’m glad I did.
Until Next Time… Charlotte x
