Matalan Maternity Checklist plus £50 Voucher

Matalan Maternity Checklist

Good Morning you lovely lot,
The sun is shining and I am in a very happy mood – I’m always happy when the suns out! Aren’t you? Today I have something exciting to show you and offer you… Ooowww! I’ve teamed up with the lovely Matalan to show you their exciting new ‘Matalan Maternity Checklist’ that they have drawn up for expecting mothers.

I admit, this is such a useful thing to have especially if you’re a first time mum a you haven’t got a clue with what to bring – I totally winged it when I put mine together but I didn’t have a specific checklist to go through.
I even made a little YouTube video about it – Don’t Forget to Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Going back over the video and my experience I would have totally left a few items off my list and taken more of what I needed. Can you believe I took NO SNACKS! Not that I was in any position to eat anything but I mean not even a sweet or a packet of crisp! There is one thing Matalan left off the list – Sanitary towels! The really thick one… Must have and loads of them! I am after your thoughts on Matalans Maternity Check List that’s pictured below and you can be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher to spend at Matalan – You lucky lot! 1. I would have left out my make up – as I didn’t bother wearing any whist in hospital and I would have replaced it with my own silk pillow case, as those hospital pillowcases were awful!

  2. I wouldn’t bother about the stop watch!

  3. Taken out ear plugs and put in a cooling mist spray….. that was a real help as last time I gave birth it was a really hot day! Hoping for a nice cool day this time.

  4. I would take out the stopwatch and put in E45 cream

  5. I would of left out breast pads and put in special maternity pads!

  6. take out the magazines & add a fan!

  7. Could do without the I pad – but for my first baby a nursing pillow was an essential

  8. I’d leave out the ear plugs, just in case the hubby nicks them to try and get some kip! 😉 And i’d put in a hair brush because I have no doubt that after that lovely 1st shower post birth…the hair will be a matted mess!!!! Plus a bobble or two to keep it out of my face!

  9. Would have left out magazines and replaced with more maternity pads

  10. We would have left out dummies as we decided against using them with our son, I would have replaced these with breast pads as I was completely unprepared for how much leaking there would be in the early days of breastfeeding lol 🙂

  11. Lynsey Buchanan

I would leave out nappies as the hospital supplied them. And I would take a mist spray to keep refreshed in hospital

  12. I’ll be leaving out the ear plugs as I can sleep through literally anything… if I have the chance! And bring my own pillow. Not for sleeping, but just for general comfort whilst I’m there!

  13. left out breast pump – i used the hospital electric one! i would have brought my own pillow

  14. Would take out all the beauty products (it is not like being on holiday!) and replace with more sleepsuits and vests (my babies are sicky!).

  15. I would leave out a book as I didn’t get time to look at it and pack some nipple cream instead.

  16. Leave out tshirt and replace with maternity top

  17. Natalie Crossan

Leave out the tshirt and replace with a breast pump!
