Charlotte and Hayden - Successful Lifestyle Blog

Successful Lifestyle Blog? You Tell Me

Charlotte and Hayden at Legoland

I’ve been MIA when it comes to blogging over the last couple of months.
Still been very social on my other social media sites so If you want to see what we’ve been up to do check those out. Do I have a successful lifestyle blog? You Tell Me.

I would usually post articles at least 4/5 times a week, Its now gone down to not even one in the last two weeks.
I really do love blogging but not so much lately – I’ve had a lot of stuff going on in my life that I’ve been focusing on more and because blogging is full time for me I’ve had to put it on the back burner in order to keep myself sane sounds weird but make sense to me but still completely sucks. Running a start up business like Port Avenue and a blog like Berice Baby is bloody hard work and I’m still trying to get me head round doing both and making sure that I stay on the track, keep up to date and that they are both very successful. There always seem to be a bunch of elements that keep trying to get in my way. I’ve also been laptop-less and Internet-less so that didn’t help at all – Its been very frustrating.

Lets just say I’ve been on annual leave from blogging – and now I have a shit load of work piling up on top of me! As most of you know if you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or even Instagram I went to Brit Mums Live over the weekend and I’ve been inspired once again to pull my finger out and do what I love doing. I’ve missed blogging and sharing snippets of my life with my readers (you guys).

Friday evening while off to get dinner with a few fellow bloggers I was asked how on earth I managed to do everything I do and still run a successful blog? The truth is I don’t, I can’t… I’m struggling and I feel like I’ve failed when it comes to www.bericebaby.co.uk because I took a break. I’ve now come to realise its OK to take some time out and its also OK to admit it too, which is why I am writing this and sharing it with you guys.

I’m a pretty lazy laid back person, I can’t lie. Hard-work puts me off but once I snap out of feeling like a complete moron most days I can actually pull off some pretty decent work (If I do say so myself). I’d just rather be laughing and joking most of the time (keeps me young) I’ve been like that from my school days. Always being told off for laughing too much, talking to loud or simply day dreaming off in the clouds – don’t get time to day dream anymore though. The joys of growing up!

So yeah, If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been… I’m still here & trying to maintain a somewhat success lifestyle blog as a ‘professional blogger’ just been a bit quite due to other things.

Thank you for the love & support that’s always being shown I really appreciate it, words can’t express.

I have been vlogging and have two recent vlogs up on my youtube channel – Check them out when you get a chance. I have two more videos that need editing (shoot me now) which will go up over the next couple week.
If you have any request vlogs do hit me up and I will try my best to make them for you guys.

I have some fun posts coming up for you guys so keep you eyes peeled. Days out, Press events, Review & giveaways.

  1. I think taking a break from blogging and focusing on general life is a good thing, sometimes blogging can take over and it becomes forced, so a well needed break can be the best thing to do sometimes x

  2. Great that Britmumslive has inspired you to get back into blogging. Sometimes you just need that break

  3. I’m gutted I only briefly met you at BML!

we all try to be superwomen don’t we – there are times when I have no clue how I can keep on top of everything, and sometimes, I really just can’t. Taking a blogging break is something that you obviously needed to do, but I’m so glad that BML gave you a bit of a kick too!

    xx

  4. we can’t do it all! I love blogging, but ‘real life’ comes first

  5. I’m exhausted and therefore struggling for inspiration right now, tbh I think I might wind down for summer soon – the kids break up in a week anyway!

  6. I feel so much pressure to post every day, join in everything and constantly tweet, instagram etc. It is hard, I work every night until 12am-1am, without fail! Need more confidence to take a day off.
I wish I had met you at BMs live x

  7. I am glad that you came away inspired

  8. Oh I am so with you, in fact I wrote a post on it earlier this week- I took some time off on purpose because I was suddenly finding it a chore as opposed to loving it like I used to! I feel refreshed for a break, and have also resolved to keep blogging in its place and not let it take over!

  9. Everyone needs a break! Looks like your finding your mojo again now though

  10. Sometimes a break is enough to give us the chance to wind down and reassess. It’s good that you’ve got your blogging mojo back.

  11. Everyone needs a break at times. It’s real life that is most important. I’m glad to hear that BritMums has inspired you though.

  12. Sounds like you’ve been busy! Glad to hepear you’ve got your mojo back and looking forward to reading more from you!

  13. Sometimes we just need a break don’t we….it is like any job!

  14. So now when the break is over I hope that we will hear more often from you 🙂
    Welcome back

  15. A short break can sometimes work wonders for your blogging. You can start anew with refreshed vigour and inspiration.

  16. I regularly have mini breaks from blogging – I’d get bored otherwise 😉

  17. I can relate to taking a break – I feel as though I have come back refreshed and ready for the next stage.
