Weekend Fun in London for Families & Couples

The weekend is usually the time for us to spend together, go out and have some fun in London. Rovi works during the week & in the evenings is pretty much relaxing time for the both of us once Hayden has gone to bed. We are always looking for fun things to do for us as a couple and as a family so I thought I’d share them with you guys.

Picture House Stratford East
Fancy seeing the new Disney movie Frozen… Oh you’ve seen it already? Well I bet you haven’t watch the sing along version! How about singing ‘Do you wanna build a snowman’ at the top of your lungs?
Head on over to Picture House Stratford East for the Sing a long version of Frozen

Showing Times:

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, this delightful children’s animation goes one better by having not one but two beleaguered princesses.
The sweet and intrepid Anna is desperately searching for her missing sister Elsa, whose icy powers have thrown the kingdom of Arendelle into eternal winter. But as Anna’s quest gradually reveals, Elsa is not really so villainous. Along the way Anna solicits the help of a comic snowman called Olaf, the rugged mountain man Kristoff, and a reindeer called Sven.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Why not take the whole family out for a theatre trip to see the amazing new musical theatre show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane?
‘THE BIGGEST HOME-GROWN MUSICAL OF THE YEAR! Willy Wonka’s kingdom is realised in spectacular style in a tremendously inventive show’

Showing Times:
Monday – Saturday at 7:30pm
Wednesday and Saturday at 2:30pm

ROALD DAHL’s deliciously dark tale of young Charlie Bucket and the mysterious confectioner Willy Wonka comes to life in a brand new West End musical directed by Academy Award® winner Sam Mendes.

English Nation Opera
How about toning down the night for a couples evening out at the theater, maybe some quite time away from the kids … A long overdue date night perhaps? Why not go and see The Pearl Fishers eno production at the English Nation Opera? There are 9 performances remaining including a few at the weekend

Showing Times:
Sat 21 Jun 14 at 18:30
Sat 28 Jun 14 at 15:00
Sat 05 Jul 14 at 15:00

Cherished for its popular duet, The Pearl Fishers offers a compelling tale of friendship tested by love. Amid Bizet’s outpouring of memorable melodies, colourful orchestration and evocative choruses is a story that is not all sweetness and light. A painful love triangle exploring themes of desire and rejection, longing and loss, and religious strictures lies at the heart of The Pearl Fishers.

108 Marylebone Lane
Maybe you don’t fancy bright lights, singing and dance, maybe you fancy going out as a couple for a wine and dine date night in the heart of the city? Have you heard about 108 Marlebone Lane? A Modern British cuisine, in the heart of Marylebone Village. Not only do they provide all day dining but breakfast, a juice bar & even after dinner cocktails. Sounds like an amazing night out with a loved one. Sounds pretty awesome for Valentines weekend.

After reading Bei Fits review on the Juicery and after diner cocktails I had to share with you guys. I’ve just spoken to Rovi about this place and its a must that we visit.

Until next time… Charlotte x
