London’s First Ever Family Show

London, 29 July 2013. Plusher is London’s first show dedicated to all things stylish and fabulous for families and is taking place on Saturday 9 November at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London.

Plusher must-visit event is aimed at forward thinking parents who want the very best for themselves and their precious little urbanites. It is the showcase for all things innovative, exciting and luxurious in the family market – all under one roof! 

The ticketed event will feature an exclusive selection of brands ranging from clothing and toys to interiors and holidays. Honeyjam, the independent toy shop co-owned by Jasmine Guinness and Honey Bowdrey has already confirmed their participation and Jasmine will also be involved in one of the panel discussions at the show. “Honey and I are delighted that Honeyjam is exhibiting at Plusher. It’s great to be part of London’s first ever show aimed at families. It will be a really fun day out for the whole family! I’m also looking forward to being part of the panel discussions aimed at the parents,” says Jasmine.

The childrenswear industry was valued at £6.5 billion in 2011 and this key market has seen a proliferation of children’s ranges by designer brands. Style will be an important part of Plusher and will feature a spectacular fashion show highlighting the very best Christmas party wear looks for maternity and childrenswear, as well as a look ahead to Spring / Summer 2014. The fashion show will be co-hosted by lifestyle and parenting title baby&me magazine, who is also the show’s parenting media partner. “I am delighted to announce that baby&me will partner Plusher, the first truly luxury parenting show in London,” comments baby&me Editor, Estelle Lee. “We are excited to be involved in bringing the fashion show to life under the creative direction of Carolyn Asome, deputy Fashion Editor at The Times and Contributing Fashion Editor at baby&me.”

There will be a number of activities and events taking place for adults and children throughout the day. Kids activities include an Anorak magazine creative area, a pop up photography studio by Julia Boggio who will taking snaps of mini fashionistas, as well as special appearances by children’s authors and other high profile guests. Kelly Willoughby will be reading from her and her sister Holly’s first children’s book ‘School for Stars’ and kids will be entertained by Amanda and her Action Club team during several of the slots.

A number of panel discussions aimed at parents will run throughout the day covering the themes of Working Mums, Beauty and Fitness & Nutrition. The panel discussions will be chaired by highly regarded writers and journalists and will feature a variety of familiar names. Susannah Taylor, ex health & beauty editor at Vogue and Glamour and founder of, the online directory of the best products and services in the health and beauty industry, has confirmed she will be chairing the Beauty panel. She will be accompanied on the panel by Abigail James, the renowned facialist (and mother of three) at Grace, Belgravia as well as mother, singer, model & presenter Rachel Stevens. “There are so many amazing products and services available to little ones, which you can learn about when you become a mummy. To showcase all these ideas in one place, offering tips and advice for parents at the same time is a great idea and I’m looking forward to being involved and to getting new inspiration and ideas for my daughter whilst I’m there.” Also involved is singer, TV presenter and mum of two, Sinitta and Equinox personal trainer Nick Weiss.

“We are excited to announce that the very stylish Jax Coco is the show’s main sponsor,” continues David. Jax Coco is 100% pure coconut water in cool glass bottles and is the perfect family drink. Jax Coco will be hosting the VIP slot, which will take place between 9.30am – 11.30am, after which time the show will open to the general public until 5.30pm. Jax Coco is “the chicest coconut water on the market” according to British Vogue. “I am very excited to be part of such a fun concept,” comments Jax Coco founder Jane Gottschalk. “I just wish it had been around 10 years ago when I had my first child. As a mum of 4½ I have my hands full and to have an event that brings together all the latest luxury brands for all my kids is incredibly useful.” 

VIP goodie bags will feature products from brands such as Aden + Anais, Angel’s Face, REN and Little Fashion Gallery.

There will be a raffle with incredible prizes ranging from products to experiences in aid of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, Plusher’s charity partner, which grants wishes for seriously and terminally ill children and provides entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the UK. £5 from every ticket sold will be donated directly to Starlight.
