COYO Yoghurt Free From Product Review

Can you believe this is the first time I am trying yoghurt?!
Strange? Well I have an allergy to dairy, so I don’t drink dairy milk which is in most yoghurt’s – Apart from CO YO.
CO YO is an award winning new Coconut Milk Yoghurt … The only non-dairy, non-soya yoghurt available & it’s just hit the UK shores (How exciting). UK CO YO was founded by ‘mumpreneur’ Bethany Eaton & CO YO Australia stared in 2009 by Henry and Sandra Gosling.
We were sent this product to try as a review. I can’t lie I was a tad bit skeptical at first as I don’t like trying new things.

It comes in a cute little plastic container, pleasing on the eye and cute.
Once opened looked like yoghurt, smelt like yoghurt … and even better tasted delicious. The way I would describe it would be like ice cream, again I only have non dairy ice cream.

There are 5 mouth watering flavours to choose from – Natural, Raw Chocolate, Mixed Berry, Mango & Pineapple.

We were sent Natural, Raw Chocolate, Mixed Berry & Mango. The flavours are very subtle especially the Natural & the ones with flavour are extremely mouth watering.
I love the way they have the dreamy white yoghurt on top followed by the fruit mainly at the bottom.
I offered two flavours at lunch time (4 days apart – In case of allergies) to Hayden Mango & natural, he turn away as he usually does to ANYTHING new but he saw me eating it so decided to brave the unknown. He loved the Mango flavour as Mango is one of his favourite fruits. I didn’t give him too much just a couple spoon full – But Success! As he wanted more.

COYO is available in 400g, 250g and 125g size nationwide via Ocado (from November), as well as from Selfridges, Whole foods Market and Planet Organic stores, and numerous independent health stores and delis throughout the UK.

COYO retails at £4.99 for 400g, £3.49 for 250g and £1.99 for single serving pots of 125g.
I thought the price was a bit steep for a pot of yoghurt but I can see why. Being Dairy, Soya, Gluten & Lactose free as well as no added sugar (just Xylitol) and to top it off Probiotic & suitable for Vegans. They have pretty much all avenues covered.
But don’t just take my word for it – Give them a try & tell me what you think. Either with a blog post linking back to me or a comment below. What’s your favourite flavour?

  2. Man, this looks good. I am lactose intolerant and haven’t had yogurt in years! Maybe something like this is available in the states!!! I’ll be on the look out.
